Terms of Service

By registering on or using ManaKalyanam ("the Platform", "we", "our"), operated by Lipi Technologies, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users — individual clients, marriage bureaus, and administrators.

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Platform.
• Bureau accounts must be registered legal entities or sole proprietors conducting lawful matrimonial services in India.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• You must not impersonate another person or entity.

Bureaus who list profiles on the Platform agree that:

• All profile information submitted is accurate and provided with the explicit knowledge and consent of the individual concerned.
• Photographs uploaded have been shared with the prior written or verbal consent of the individual. The bureau must retain evidence of such consent.
• The bureau is solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of all content (profiles, photos, descriptions) it uploads.
• The bureau will not upload false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or illegal content.
• The bureau will promptly remove any profile upon request by the individual or ManaKalyanam.
• ManaKalyanam is not responsible for any legal action arising from content submitted by a bureau. All legal liability for profile content rests with the bureau.
• Bureaus indemnify and hold harmless ManaKalyanam, Lipi Technologies, and their directors and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from bureau-submitted content.

• You may use profile information obtained through the Platform solely for the purpose of genuine matrimonial enquiries.
• You must not scrape, reproduce, or commercially exploit profile data.
• You must not contact individuals in a harassing, abusive, or unlawful manner.
• Wallet credits are non-refundable once used to view profiles.

• Profile views: The first 3 profile views per account are free. Subsequent views are charged at the rate set in the platform (currently ₹1 per view), deducted from your wallet.
• Wallet recharge: Minimum recharge is ₹50 via Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking). Wallet balance is non-transferable and non-refundable.
• Bureau subscriptions: Bureaus may be required to maintain an active subscription to access network features. Subscription fees are set by the platform administrator.
• We reserve the right to revise pricing at any time with notice on the Platform.

All payments on ManaKalyanam are strictly non-refundable. This includes wallet recharges, profile view charges, and bureau subscription fees. Please read our full Refund Policy before making any payment.

You must not:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Indian law
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or backend systems
• Use automated bots or scrapers to extract data from the Platform
• Engage in or facilitate dowry demands, forced marriages, or human trafficking
• Post content that is sexually explicit, communally inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and referral to law enforcement.

All Platform design, code, branding, and original content is the intellectual property of Lipi Technologies. Profile content remains the property of the respective bureau or individual. By uploading content, you grant ManaKalyanam a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content on the Platform.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. ManaKalyanam does not guarantee the accuracy of profile information, the outcome of any matrimonial inquiry, or uninterrupted access to the Platform. We are a technology intermediary only and are not a party to any matrimonial arrangement between users.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, ManaKalyanam and Lipi Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, failed matches, or fraud by third parties. Our total liability to any user for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by that user to the Platform in the 3 months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Vuyyuru, Andhra Pradesh, India.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or any behaviour deemed harmful to the Platform or its users. Upon termination, your wallet balance may be forfeited if termination was due to policy violations.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify bureau accounts by email of material changes. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
